Dr. Sassan Momtazbakhsh serves as the Medical Director at Vista Specialty Hospital - Tucson, providing expert medical management for patients with complex medical needs. With over two decades of experience in internal medicine and cardiothoracic surgery, he brings a unique combination of critical care expertise, surgical precision, and compassion to every patient encounter.

Dr. Momtazbakhsh completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at the Arizona Health Sciences Center, specializing in heart transplantation and mechanical assist devices. He also earned a Diploma in Artificial Heart and Mechanical Circulatory Support from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI).

His research in artificial heart technology, transmyocardial revascularization, and cardiac assist devices has contributed to advancements in the treatment of advanced cardiac disease.
