Ms. Navarrete: From Rehabilitation to Home

Ms. Navarrete was admitted to Vista Specialty Hospital of La Mirada in January 2026 from Adventist Health White Memorial in Montebello for continued care. She was evaluated by both Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy with the goal of returning home to her family and safely performing functional mobility tasks at a high level of independence.

From the start of her rehabilitation program, Ms. Navarrete demonstrated strong motivation and a commitment to improving her functional abilities. The therapy team worked closely with her each morning, while nursing staff ensured she received her medications on time so she could fully participate in her treatments. Thanks to her steady progress, she advanced from using an EVA walker to a standard front wheeled walker.

Her family was consistently provided with education on exercises and daily activities so they could confidently support her continued recovery at home.

When asked about the quality of care she received at Vista Specialty Hospital, her daughter shared her response: “I am very satisfied and really happy. Everyone was very good to me.” Both Ms. Navarrete and her daughter added, “We will recommend the hospital to others in our community.”

Just two weeks later, Ms. Navarrete was safely discharged home with her family. She is a wonderful example of determination and dedication to recovery, and her progress reflects the collaborative support of her care team in helping her reach her personal goals.
