Ritche Berdal is the Chief Executive Officer of Vista Specialty Hospital - Tucson and a U.S. Air Force veteran with more than 25 years of leadership in military and healthcare settings. He oversees organizational strategy, operational performance, and clinical quality. His career began with 16 years of service in the Air Force, where he built the discipline and leadership values that guide his work today. Following his military service, Ritche transitioned into healthcare, starting as a Registered Nurse in the High Intensity Care Unit and advancing through leadership roles including Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer.

He earned a Master of Science in Business Management, Leadership, and Organizational Development from Troy University, with a minor in Human Resources Management. His leadership has been recognized with the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association’s Patient Safety and Quality Awards in 2023 and 2024, along with several CIHQ Centers of Excellence designations in Long Term Acute Care, Nursing, and Respiratory Services.

Beyond hospital leadership, Ritche serves on medical executive committees, governing boards, and college advisory councils. He also teaches Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Guided by compassion, integrity, and service, he remains committed to patient safety, operational excellence, and the growth of the teams he leads.
